About this role
Black Rock Global Corporate Communications is looking for a Vice President of Corporate Communications, Switzerland, based in Zurich.
Your team
Within Black Rock’s Corporate Affairs function, Corporate Communications leads all internal and external communications that advance our purpose of helping more and more people experience financial well-being. The team is responsible for driving compelling communications and stakeholder engagement strategies that enhance our culture, drive growth, strengthen our reputation, and build our brand.
Key Responsibilities The primary focus of this role is to develop and oversee the execution of the communications strategy and activities locally that build greater knowledge and recognition of the firm's brand and the commercial businesses.
The candidate will think laterally about innovative and stakeholder-centric ways to deliver Black Rock content to relevant stakeholders through all communications channels.
What will you be doing?

Partner closely with executives, business heads and members of the global & regional communications teams to develop and execute communications programs for Black Rock in Switzerland.

Work with a wide range of internal partners including Black Rock’s marketing, client and portfolio management groups, Public Policy, Sustainability & Transition Solutions and Investment Stewardship to manage Black Rock’s profile on critical corporate and commercial initiatives.

Lead our profile and manage Black Rock’s reputation by driving impactful communication programs that align with the firm’s key areas of growth.

Develop media strategy and story ideas for key focus areas. Maintain strong working relationships with business/financial and trade media across channels (print, broadcast, digital and social). Co-manage the day-to-day activity of the PR agency for the country.
What are we looking for?

We’re looking for people with a passion for the news, an interest in how it is made and why it is important in shaping the reputation of companies and individuals.

You should be highly motivated and well-organized. You must have an excellent work ethic and be comfortable with multitasking while in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle tight deadlines.

Strong project management skills are essential as is an eye for detail.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, and you need to be comfortable working and interacting with leaders up and down the company as well as with colleagues, journalists and other external content producers around the world.

6 to 10 years’ experience in corporate or agency (financial) Corporate Communications.

Strong preference for an excellent understanding of, and natural interest in, the financial services industry. Asset management specifically is a plus.

Track record in reputation management given the significant role of Black Rock in the asset management sector.

Proven track record of initiating and implementing communications campaigns.
-
Proven leadership experience, with a track record of building and managing structured, high-performing teams.

Analytical thinking, the ability to integrate input from multiple stakeholders while working to deadlines.

In-depth knowledge of Swiss media landscape, a strong local network and solid understanding of the international tier one media landscape.

Sound understanding of the evolving digital communications landscape, ideally with knowledge and experience of social media campaigns.

Fluent English and German. French language proficiency desired

Our hybrid work model
Black Rock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
