The spectrum is millions of low complexity accounts with lots of automation and straight through processing but also hundreds or thousands really high complexity accounts which require manual review.

Job Purpose / Background:
AQE (Aladdin Quality Engineering) is a globally distributed team supporting Quality Engineering initiatives for Apps on Aladdin. AQE employs use of industry-leading tools (Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation servers, Azure dev ops) to support the testing activities. As a QA Engineer you will work as part of the Global testing team supporting Quality Engineering activities for applications on the Aladdin platform.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers by providing technical guidance, coaching, and support in building effective testing solutions to enable the delivery of high‑quality products. Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Remain hands‑on and accountable for functional deliveries. Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to understand client requirements, contribute to solution design, and ensure high‑quality outcomes.
  • Own end‑to‑end testing activities from planning through execution—across functional and non‑functional requirements, including test strategy, design, development, execution, and delivery.
  • Drive improvements in productivity, test coverage, automation, and shift‑left practices by effectively leveraging AI. Expand functional, negative, and edge‑case coverage using AI‑generated insights, refined through strong domain knowledge. Contribute to defining accuracy, precision, and acceptance thresholds for AI‑powered solutions.
  • Utilize AI‑driven metrics and quality trends to proactively identify high‑risk areas, influence go/no‑go decisions and recommend testing strategies aligned with the organization’s zero‑incident vision.
  • Champion a strong culture of quality across teams by promoting awareness, adoption, and adherence to established quality standards and best practices.
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive quality‑focused enhancements to continuously improve application stability, resilience, and scalability.
  • Regularly review test coverage, automation effectiveness, and testing workflows to improve efficiency and quality across the SDLC.
  • Promote an inclusive and diverse team culture by embedding principles of inclusion into hiring, people management, and employee engagement, and by leading through example.

Qualifications:

  • B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject area
  • 10+ years of proven experience

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior QA role within the financial services domain, preferably in asset management or a related area, with strong understanding of investment management workflows, risk management practices, regulatory compliance, or investment accounting.
  • Ability to leverage AI for test scenario generation from requirements, designs, APIs, and business workflows, with the capability to validate, refine, and prioritize AI‑generated outputs using strong domain expertise.
  • Hands‑on experience in building and driving adoption of AI agents to accelerate test automation, including areas such as code generation, pull‑request reviews, and autonomous test execution.
  • Exposure to Java‑based automation frameworks and modern test tooling such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Proven track record of defining, leading, and executing effective test strategies that drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Deep understanding of software quality assurance and engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices, with solid experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and drive alignment across cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong technical foundation in RDBMS concepts, SQL, application infrastructure, performance testing tools and methodologies (e.g., JMeter or equivalent), and API testing for complex, distributed systems.
  • A self‑motivated and proactive mindset, with a willingness to take ownership, dive deep into complex problem areas, and work closely with teams at all levels to deliver effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify, assess, and resolve complex quality and engineering challenges.
  • Experience working as part of an Agile development team, contributing actively to planning, execution, and continuous improvement practices.

Nice to have and opportunities to learn:

  • AZURE Dev Ops, CI/CD integration and associated tools and processes (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation servers, Maven, Sonar Qube).
  • AI and Machine Learning (Windsurf or GitHub CoPilot)
  • Cloud based testing.
