The Aladdin Quality Engineering team creates the strategy for delivering software resiliently at scale, in a business that is remarkable in its scale and incredibly risk-aware. This global team is a fundamental part of Aladdin’s core business, driving new revenue, unlocking trust and scale, and enabling the growth of our client business. A successful candidate will have a critical seat in accelerating Aladdin’s and Black Rock’s multi-year strategy, including enabling the technology transformations that are necessary for us to grow our future businesses. Key Responsibilities:

Lead a global team of ~250 quality engineers, including a central hub of engineering transformation leaders

Partner with key product leaders and stakeholders across multiple businesses

Align our transformation strategy with our platform strategy to ensure our multi-year technology strategy is future-facing, adaptive and risk-adjusted
Who you are:

You have a deep understanding of how to build for scale, for resilience and how to think about risk from a client perspective

You are passionate about modern engineering best practices, efficiency, and productivity and see it as your mission to advocate for a strong, productive engineering culture.

You are data-driven and apply measurements to understand impact and outcomes for your organization and stakeholders – “what gets measured gets managed.”

You believe diversity crafts driven advantage through insights, team cohesion, personal dedication, and interpersonal culture.
Desired Qualifications:
-
Significant technical leadership experience in Technology or Financial Services, with a track record of delivering for complex clients
-
Experience as a leader in both software development and quality engineering, ideally in building a culture of quality and stability as first principles
-
Strong intellectual ability and stakeholder management skills, evidenced by being able to establish his/her credibility and influence with senior leaders throughout the firm.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic business environment and continually reprioritize to focus on the key issues/topics.

Outstanding interpersonal characteristics, reputation, and team orientation, which will enable her/him to earn confidence, loyalty, and respect of colleagues
-
AI domain knowledge, in the context of driving productivity, automation and migrations, is a nice-to-have.

Our hybrid work model
Black Rock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. We remain focused on increasing the impactful moments that arise when we work together in person – aligned with our commitment to performance and innovation.
