Team Overview:

You will be working on Black Rock's investment operating system called Aladdin. Aladdin is used both internally within Black Rock and externally by many financial institutions. Aladdin combines sophisticated risk analytics with comprehensive portfolio management, trading, and operations tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making and create a connective tissue for thousands of users investing worldwide.

Our Quality Assurance teams reside inside the Aladdin Engineering group. We collaboratively build the next generation of technology that changes the way information, people, and technology intersect for global investment firms. We build and package tools that manage trillions in assets and supports millions of financial instruments. We perform risk calculations and process millions of transactions for thousands of users every day worldwide!

Job Purpose / Background:

AQE (Aladdin Quality Engineering) is a globally distributed team supporting Quality Engineering initiatives for Apps on Aladdin.

AQE employs use of industry-leading tools (Selenium, Java, Cypress, Cucumber, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation servers, Azure dev ops, Snowflake ) to support the testing activities. As a QA Engineer you will work as part of the Global testing team supporting Quality Engineering activities for applications on the Aladdin platform.

Responsibilities include:

• 4-6 years of work experience in quality assurance/testing is preferred
• MUST HAVE knowledge of financial services and/or industry experience in Wealth/Asset Management.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert on applications & own Quality attestations for sign off on production releases.
• Can acquire a deep functional understanding of Aladdin and client use cases.
• Responsible for functional, non-functional and regression testing activities of a project.
• Design and develop comprehensive test scenarios based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Exposure in test frameworks maintain & troubleshooting automated test suites.
• Identify, document, and track defects in a clear and concise manner.
• Follow Agile model to track and manage sprint tasks using ADO which includes sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives.
• Analyze production Incidents to identify action items for QA and Dev teams to drive Production stability.
• Provide feedback to improve the product quality and contribute to the enhancement of testing processes.
• Effectively communicate testing metrics, progress, schedules, and issues impacting delivery.

Our hybrid work model
