Job Description:
Black Rock’s US Wealth Advisory business services $2T+ in client assets and is responsible for the distribution of active and index asset management products through intermediaries as well as sub advisory relationships. The US Wealth Advisory Strategic Accounts team is responsible for Black Rock’s relationship management and business development initiatives with key retail distributors including Wirehouses, Regionals, Independents, Banks, Enterprise RIAs, Custodians, TAMPs, and Wealthtech providers. The team encompasses Senior Relationship Managers (Dir/MD), Relationship Managers (VP), and Relationship Management Associates & Analysts. The Strategic Accounts team partners across Black Rock to best deliver enterprise value to our clients.
Role Description:
The Enterprise RIA Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) leads strategic growth with Black Rock's largest Enterprise RIA clients. The SRM works with Black Rock partners to develop partnerships, secure placements, and activate solutions for clients.
Effective collaboration with ecosystem partners is essential for delivering strong client outcomes and finding innovative opportunities across financial solutions, investment management, and technology. Working across sectors enables Black Rock to provide greater enterprise value and more comprehensive financial solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Establish effective partnerships with Enterprise RIA firms by providing expertise in understanding, navigating, and commercializing the Enterprise RIA landscape. Foster constructive relationships with C-suite executives that identify mutually beneficial opportunities and support the development of long-term strategic initiatives.Deliver sustainable results: Take responsibility for USWA collective objectives; achieve sustainable outcomes by applying comprehensive and transformative solutions; demonstrate effective client-focused abilities to support ongoing revenue growth.Establish collaborative, reliable, and client-focused partnerships: Work with teams across Black Rock and within the varied RIA ecosystem to provide comprehensive solutions.Lead the Industry: Develop a deep understanding of the industry by synthesizing diverse perspectives, remaining agile in response to emerging trends, and capitalizing on commercial opportunities more effectively than competitors. Demonstrate leadership through continuous learning and maintain expertise in business practices, market dynamics, and the RIA ecosystem.Safeguard the Firm: Utilize CRM for client list and activities; follow all cash/non-cash rules of engagement and other client and BLK compliance and COO procedures.
Skills:
- Collegial team player able to form strong relationships within team and across Black Rock and within the industry – anchored in a client-first attitude. Superior problem solving and analytical skills; a creative thought leader. Exceptional client relationship skills and executive presence to lead existing and build new relationships across C-suite executives at Enterprise RIA firms. Product knowledge of full suite of BLK solutions including
- ETFs, mutual funds, model portfolios, separate accounts and alternative investments. Excellent listening skills, strong networking abilities and in-depth knowledge of the RIA ecosystem. Experience in private equity, banking, or consulting beneficial. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Requirements:
Senior client-facing (10+) years of industry experience required; relationship management, sales experience and/or strategic business development experience preferred. BA/BS degree required. NASD series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses (or 66) preferred. Clean compliance record required with no prior contractual restrictions regarding distribution of investment products.
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD**$200,000.00** - USD**$270,000.00** . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. Black Rock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
Black Rock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
