Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading efforts to grow and strengthen Bird’s presence and partnerships in the communities we serve. This individual will work directly with city staff, electeds, and community stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration between Bird’s offering and city and community goals.
Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with city staff and local stakeholders to identify common ground and advance Bird’s policy goals.

Lead development and implementation of comprehensive community engagement strategy

Organize and attend community meetings and events

Support the development of win-win regulations that drive responsible growth of micromobility as a key modeshift tool for cities.

Work closely with operations partners to ensure Bird’s service is at all times both responsive and responsible to the communities we serve.

Own programmatic reporting and evaluation to ensure compliance as well
-
Data-driven approach to the continuous improvement and growth of Bird’s micromobility service.
Must Haves
-
3+ years progressive experience in government relations, transportation advocacy, or community organizing. Background and/or interest in urban mobility a plus.

Ability to build, and/or strengthen relationships with key community stakeholders including city officials.

Strong project management and organization, with a data-driven approach to solving problems.

Ability to collaborate cross functionally to ensure that Bird fulfills all obligations required by the cities and ensure that the company remains responsive to local concerns as they emerge

Ability to build close relationships with Bird’s local General Manager(s) and local operations teams to identify, evaluate and prioritize opportunities to improve policy.

Ability to travel up to 30%

Applicants must be authorized to work without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work visa sponsorship.
Our budgeted salary range for this position is between $120,000 USD to $140,000 USD
