About This Role:
This position is responsible for partnering with local teams (e.g., international site leadership, HR, and Finance) to ensure that benefits in each international location align with Biogen’s philosophy and guidelines are competitive and compliant within the local market, and are delivered in a cost-effective manner. This position also supports key Corporate Benefits projects and initiatives, such as the design and implementation of Global Benefit programs. This position reports to the Global Head of Benefits.
What You’ll Do:
- With an appreciation for the underlying value proposition, partner with Corporate and local leadership, other benefits team members, and external vendor/partners to maintain competitive, relevant, and compliant health and welfare and retirement programs for Biogen employees.
- Understand and ensure local teams’ understanding of and adherence to Biogen’s International Benefits governance framework and guidelines.
- Support local plan reviews and renewals and leverage global vendor relationships.
- Assist in executing Biogen strategy.
- Build local knowledge and skills.
- Approve or escalate decisions for approval as required.
- Assist Benefits Team in managing aspects of large, complex projects such as global brokerage solution for risk coverage and global retirement management model for pension and savings plans.
- Support Benefit Team in the development and execution of global wellbeing strategy.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Compensation and Benefits as well as those who are responsible for People Systems, People Services, Legal, IT, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Tax and Payroll.
Who You Are:
You are self-motivated and thrive in dynamic environments, comfortable operating with moderate direction. Your analytical skills are strong, and you have a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Rolling up your sleeves to drive results doesn't faze you; instead, you embrace this aspect of your role. Communicating complex benefit plans to sophisticated clients is within your comfort zone. You are knowledgeable in benefits plan design, taxation, and compliance, ready to tackle challenges with enthusiasm.
Required Skills:
- Self-motivated and self-confident individual who is comfortable operating with moderate direction and who thrives in a dynamic environment.
- Has strong analytical skills and pays close attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capable of rolling up sleeves to do whatever it takes to drive results, not hindered by protocol or process.
- Comfortable and experienced in explaining benefit plans, rules, policies, and procedures to a sophisticated client base.
- Working knowledge of benefits including plan design, taxation, compliance.
- 5-7 years of experience in progressively responsible roles in international benefits.
- Compensation experience desired.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.

- Please note that this role requires a candidate to be a holder of work permit & residency in Poland.

The base compensation range for this role is: zł156,000.00-zł214,000.00
