Job Summary Bard Peripheral Vascular, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and driven R&D Engineering Intern to contribute to the development of innovative medical devices. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced R&D environment, supporting various stages of product development from concept to commercialization.

Job Responsibilities As an R&D Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the design, development, and testing of new medical devices and components.

  • Conducting literature reviews and research to support design decisions and problem-solving.

  • Performing hands-on laboratory work, including prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing.

  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting experimental data, and presenting findings to the engineering team.

  • Contributing to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, such as design specifications, test protocols, and reports.

  • Supporting design verification and validation activities.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and regulatory affairs.

  • Participating in design reviews and brainstorming sessions.

  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Job Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering field. Must be entering Junior or Senior level classwork.

  • Strong academic record.

  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and design methodologies.

  • CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) proficiency is a plus.

  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing procedures.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and contribute to a fast-paced medical device environment.
