Lease Accounting Analyst

Baker Hughes is currently hiring a Lease Accounting Analyst based in Houston, Texas.

As a Lease Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Monthly/quarterly close procedures such as preparing and entering journal entries and reporting financial results in regard to leases including account reconciliations.
  • Compliance with new leasing standards.
  • Initiating lease abstractions and ensuring they are processed completely, accurately and timely on any new leases and changes to existing leases.
  • Preparation and analysis of accurate financial statements and disclosures based on actual results. Consolidate, analyze and report financials in compliance with reporting regulations.
  • Advising functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in their own field.
  • Handling communication with direct colleagues and business inquiries.
  • Contributing to projects as a team member or leads small projects.
  • Performing special projects as required.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Financial Reporting
  • Have experience with ERP systems
  • SAP and/or Oracle
  • Have advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience with Lease Accounting preferred
  • Experience with Nakisa preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
