Procurement Specialist (Buyer)

Our Procurement Team provides support for regional and corporate projects. We are in contact with local and regional teams to collaborate and innovate. We manage the buying process and engage in commercial sourcing management in order to achieve the best contractual conditions and best results for company.

As a Procurement Specialist you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods and services. You will apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.

Responsibilities

As a Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for:

• Managing RFQs by engaging with suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
• Placing and following up on Purchase Orders while maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Ensuring on-time delivery of goods and services and tracking order status
• Identifying process gaps and recommending improvements in procurement methods and procedures
• Handling contract negotiations, renewals, and supplier discussions
• Managing supplier relationships, gathering market intelligence, assessing risks, and ensuring KPI compliance
• Coordinating communication with internal teams for data collection, analysis, and issue resolution
• Reporting supplier performance, processing invoices, managing non-conformities, and preparing comparison tables for best-value decisions

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience gained in the sourcing/buying/procurement minimum in Oil & Gas or Other energy sector or technological industries
• Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
• Preferred with technical background
• Be fluent in English and Dutch
• Have some experience or adequate training on Contracts/Agreement templates
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers and suppliers
• Have experience with SAP or Oracle (essential)
• Be familiar with ERPs
• Lead procurement activities and bring to the decision making
• Work independently and self-drive tasks and responsibilities

Work Arrangements

In this role, we can offer one year contract and extending to long term position after successful probation and well performed year of work, with the following flexible working patterns:
