Partner with the best. As a Cementing Engineer you will be involved in cementing operations and client engagement. You will be responsible for planning, designing and execution all cementing operations to ensure well integrity, zonal isolation and compliance with standards. This role provides technical leadership, communication with different teams and ensure safe and efficient cementing operations throughout the well lifecycle.
Responsibilities
As a Cementing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing planning and guidance for cementing jobs to ensure your team have the correct instructions
- Design and review cementing programs for all cementing operations
- Perform cementing simulations and hydraulic calculations to ensure optimal placement and zonal isolation
- Conduct cement post job analysis, including review of pumping data, pressures, rates, volumes, lesson learned and slurry performance versus design
- Maintain effective communication with customers and internal team before, during and after cementing operation
- Participate in technical meeting, pre-job meetings and well planning sessions with customer
- Provide technical presentations and recommendations to customer related to cementing performance and optimization
- Coordinate logistics to ensure timely mobilization and delivery of cement and chemicals to the wellsite
- Work closely with supply chain, warehouse and field operations teams to ensure availability and quantity of cementing materials
- Be available to mobilize to the field to support and supervise cementing operations as required
- Provide on-site technical leadership during critical cementing operations to ensure safe and successful execution
- Developing an operational year plan for the own department activities
- Ensuring health and safety compliance throughout cementing activities to mitigate risks to people, equipment and environment
- Supporting sales and commercial team with full technical engagement during tenders and any other sales processes
- Resolving sales technical clarifications
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have bachelor's degree in engineering
- Have minimum 3 years' experience in cementing engineering
- Have good interpersonal and relationship building skills, alongside excellent leadership ability
- Be fluent in Kazakh, Russian (oral and written). At least upper-intermediate in English
- Be of an analytical mindset with a proven ability to resolve problems and identify solutions
- Experience with cementing modeling software's
- Strong understanding of well construction fundamentals
