The role of the Global Well Intervention CoE Leader is to function as the technical authority for all I&S Well Intervention projects. The Well Intervention CoE Leader lead a team in charge of the development of technical standards and best practices related to Well Intervention design, planning, and operations. In addition, the team will provide support to global operations teams to assure the standards and best practices are communicated and implemented on I&S projects.

The Global Well Intervention CoE Leader will assure collaboration is present with all OFSE segments within integrated workflows that consider commercial, design, planning, and operational activities. The CoE Leader will also lead a group of SMEs in multiple aspects of well intervention including: well repairs, well repurposing, production enhancement, and well abandonments for onshore, shallow-water, and deep-water environments.

As a Global Well Intervention CoE Leader, you will be responsible for

  • Developing standards and best practices related to all I&S well intervention scopes

  • Building a team of well intervention SMEs to support implementation of best practices within global projects

  • Collaborating with OFSE product lines to assure best-in-class integrated solutions are provided to all I&S Well Intervention projects (Completions & Well Interventions, Wire Line Services, Drilling & Completion Fluids, Subsea & Surface Pressure Control Systems, Artificial Lift Services)

  • Building robust multi-disciplinary workflows for well intervention design, planning, and operational phases of well delivery

  • Supporting the development of training and competency programs for I&S Well Intervention engineers (inclusive of well abandonment)

  • Assuring technical solutions are in place for global projects: Onshore, Shallow-water, Deep Water, inclusive of rig and rig-less operations

  • Leading peer reviews and technical audits of global projects

  • Providing technical support to global I&S project teams

  • Supporting global teams with instituting digital solution packages for well intervention scopes

  • Collaborating with the global iROC leader to incorporate and enhance remote-monitoring initiatives within I&S projects

  • Supporting the development of a digitized tool for Lessons Learned to facilitate ingestion and utilization of data in alignment with enhanced offset well analytics and best practice identification

  • Collaborating with the I&S Wells Performance Lead on establishing Well Intervention KPIs and dashboards

  • Supporting I&S OFSE digital application development projects

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you need the below:

  • Have bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited university or relevant industry experience within product line
  • Have relevant oil & gas well engineering experience (well intervention, well abandonment, production enhancement)
  • Have experience in Offshore well interventions (including of subsea well interventions)
  • Have Operational and engineering experience is required with proof of writing detailed operational procedures and conducting detailed simulations
  • Have Well Completion experience
  • Preferred to have production enhancement experience (artificial lift experience is a plus)
  • Preferred to have experience with downhole tool deployment / installation (Baker Hughes or Industry)
  • Desired to have experience in Light well intervention experience.
  • Have strong analytical skills
  • Have excellent leadership, strong interpersonal, influencing and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global matrix organization
  • Have written and oral English as a working language (Fluency Portugues or Spanish is a plus)
