We are looking for a Senior Data Product Manager (full-time) to join our Data team in Berlin.

At Babbel, data is an important strategic asset. We are on our journey to foster a product mindset for data at Babbel and are looking for a Data Product Manager to enhance our Data and AI Platform product. You will work closely with cross-functional teams building Data and AI products on the Platform that improve our customer’s experience and business outcome. You will identify opportunities, estimate the business impact, rapidly validate and plan the roadmap to ensure measurable results are both delivered and communicated. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will:

• Deliver measurable impact: Identifying opportunities, analyzing and communicating the impact of your initiatives is crucial

• Define the Vision: Develop and communicate a clear roadmap for the Data and AI Platform, aligning with company objectives and stakeholder needs

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with data engineering, data scientists, analytics, product, and business teams to understand needs and priorities

• Product Development: Conduct discovery, work closely with engineering teams to define specifications, manage backlogs, quality test, and oversee the iterative delivery of new features

• Data Governance: Advocate for robust data governance, ensuring compliance, security, risk management and data quality across the platform

• Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in Data and AI Platforms

You have:

• 5+ years of experience in product management

• Strong technical background, with experience in managing a data platform

• Experience leading or building AI solutions to production

• Proven track record of managing successful data products from ideation to launch

• Knowledge of agile development methodologies

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA

• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques is a plus

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
