Position Overview
We are seeking a Principal Trusted AI Consultant to join Autodesk’s Trust organization, reporting to the Trusted AI Program Manager. This role will play a key part in advancing Autodesk’s AI governance strategy and ensuring our AI solutions are developed, deployed, and maintained responsibly. The Trusted AI Consultant will collaborate across Privacy, Legal, Product, Trust, and Engineering teams to operationalize our Trusted AI Framework, perform risk assessments, and guide teams in responsible AI practices. This position is ideal for a candidate who combines deep technical understanding of AI systems with expertise in risk management, governance, and compliance. Responsibilities:

Lead and conduct Trusted AI assessments for internal and third-party AI tools, models, and services to ensure responsible and compliant use

Partner with Product, Engineering, and Trust teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the AI lifecycle from data sourcing and model development to deployment and monitoring

Develop and refine Autodesk’s AI governance and risk management frameworks, ensuring alignment with evolving global regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001)

Support implementation of transparency mechanisms such as AI Transparency Cards, documentation standards, and audit readiness materials

Advise cross-functional teams on ethical and policy implications of AI technologies, including bias, fairness, explainability, and accountability considerations

Collaborate with Legal and Privacy partners to evaluate data use, model provenance, and third-party AI vendor practices

Support the creation of governance dashboards, operational metrics, and use of reporting tools for leadership visibility into AI risk posture and compliance maturity

Contribute to awareness and education programs to strengthen responsible AI literacy across Autodesk

Stay current on AI governance trends, best practices, and emerging standards to help Autodesk lead with integrity and innovation
Minimum Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in AI governance, data ethics, risk management, or related fields within technology, privacy, or security functions

Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, large language models (LLMs), data processing, and model lifecycle management

Experience with AI risk frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and OECD AI Principles

Proven ability to perform risk and impact assessments for AI systems and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Excellent understanding of privacy, security, and compliance considerations in AI contexts (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills with experience producing governance materials or policy documentation

Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority in a matrixed environment

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and regulatory topics into actionable insights

Collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to balance innovation and compliance

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $101,000 and $181,500. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
