Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager, Consulting to serve as a strategic finance partner to the Vice President, Consulting, and their leadership team, driving financial discipline, scalable growth, and operational excellence. You will report to the Finance Director for Customer Success Finance organization. This role will focus on services economics, capacity planning, margin optimization, and investment decisions that support profitable growth and exceptional customer outcomes.

Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership:

Serve as the primary finance partner to Consulting VP, providing trusted financial insights and decision support

Translate Consulting strategy into financial plans that balance growth, utilization, margin, and customer outcomes

Influence investment decisions related to hiring, capacity mix, delivery models, and geographic expansion
Financial Planning & Analysis:

Lead annual planning, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning for Consulting Worldwide

Bridge FP&A and Accounting by ensuring Consulting financial reporting is grounded in accurate accounting, strong controls, with audit-ready processes that adhere to company policies

Own key metrics reporting including revenue, gross margin, utilization, billable rates, capacity, and cost structure

Lead team of analysts in developing financial models to evaluate delivery models, pricing strategies, and resource mix
Performance Management & Insights:

Provide clear, executive-ready reporting on Consulting performance, risks, and opportunities

Analyze variances and trends across utilization, margin, and cost-to-serve; recommend and influence implementation of corrective actions

Partner cross-functionally with WW Sales Finance, FP&A, Rev Ops, and Accounting to ensure end-to-end alignment
Operational Excellence & Scale:

Drive simplification, automation, and standardization of Consulting financial processes and reporting

Ensure strong financial governance, accuracy, and compliance across Consulting financials

Handle complex consulting agreements, including non-standard deal structures
-
Support transformation initiatives, new offerings, and go-to-market changes impacting Consulting Services
Leadership & Culture:

Mentor and develop finance team members

Model Autodesk values by operating with integrity, curiosity, and a collaborative, inclusive mindset

Build trusted relationships across Finance and Consulting leadership teams
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
-
12+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A and senior business partnering roles
-
Proven experience supporting Professional Services, Consulting, or Services organizations

Strong understanding of finance functional areas including revenue accounting and compliance
-
Strong understanding of services economics, including utilization, margin, and capacity planning
-
Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
Preferred Qualifications
-
MBA, CPA, or CFA
-
Experience in a global, matrixed, enterprise technology company
-
Familiarity with planning and analytics tools such as Anaplan, Adaptive, and Power BI
-
Proven track record of driving changes in fast-evolving or transformative environments
-
SQL and Sigma experience a plus

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $119,000 and $173,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
