Team Purpose: The Posting Outcomes team drives operational performance and quality across all posting workflows through active monitoring, collaboration, and direct intervention. The team manages both core and ancillary posting processes while partnering with BPO vendors and internal stakeholders to optimize performance outcomes and identify integrity opportunities. They also handle complex, offshore-restricted work and resolve escalated service issues to ensure seamless posting operations.
Role Purpose: Leads significant initiatives and process improvements that impact multiple teams or business areas. Develops talent and contributes to strategic planning through advanced analysis and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities & Success Measures:
50% Task-Based Work
- Owns complex, high-impact processes or workflow areas that require significant coordination and expertise
- Serves as subject matter expert for Posting Outcomes and resolves escalated issues
- Manages critical workflows that directly impact business outcomes and client satisfaction
35% Project Leadership
- Leads medium to large-scale initiatives that span Core, Ancillary or Complex Posting functions
- Develops project plans, manages timelines, and coordinates resources across teams
- Conducts advanced analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning
- Presents findings and recommendations for Posting Services leadership
15% Team Development
- Develops and implements training programs for Associates and junior team members
- Provides career guidance and development planning for mentees
- Leads knowledge sharing initiatives and best practice documentation
- Contributes to talent acquisition by participating in interviews and onboarding design
Decision-Making Authority: Makes decisions about project scope, resource allocation, and implementation approaches for assigned initiatives. Determines escalation strategies for complex business issues. Influences departmental priorities and strategic direction through analysis and recommendations.
Scope & Complexity: Manages initiatives with significant business impact and high levels of ambiguity. Navigates competing stakeholder interests and adapts strategies based on changing business conditions. Impact extends to departmental performance and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Relationships: Serves as key liaison between teams and departments for Posting Outcomes. Partners with management on strategic planning and presents to senior stakeholders. Mentors and develops multiple junior team members.
Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or 4-6 years of relevant professional experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience on complex, multi-functional projects
- Advanced analytical skills with ability to translate data into strategic insights
- Strong presentation and influence skills with senior stakeholders
- Subject matter expertise in general RCM Posting processes
What Distinguishes This Level: Leads significant initiatives that impact multiple areas rather than coordinating smaller projects. Influences strategic direction through advanced analysis and serves as a development resource for others. To advance to IC or People Manager, must demonstrate ability to manage complex projects independently, positively influence the performance of others and drive organizational change.
Expected Compensation
$66,000 - $112,000
The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors, including job-related experience, relevant knowledge and skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles, and geographical market rates. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package - depending on role eligibility, we offer both short and long-term incentives by way of an annual discretionary bonus plan, variable compensation plan, and equity plans.
