Job Description:

As a Senior Specialist, Network Technology Support / Mobility Ethernet Reliability – Tier 2 Technician, you play a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting the RAN Transport network that supports AT&T’s wireless infrastructure, including 4G and 5G services.

What you’ll do (support and use)

Network maintenance & repair

• Support transport/network elements and site equipment such as MSNs, SIADs, Da Fi, Small Cells, microwave systems, and NTEs.

Remote troubleshooting & restoration

• Diagnose and resolve network incidents remotely by connection to live devices in the network in CLI and GUI and by using internal tooling, trouble tickets, calls, and email.

• Perform detailed technical analysis, determine root cause where possible, and define/drive next steps to restore service.

Collaboration & coordination

• Coordinate with internal teams, Local Exchange Carriers (LECs), field technicians, and vendors to execute repairs and service restorations.

Escalation & outage management

• Own/participate in escalation management and respond to major incidents (e.g., SEV1/1E, SEV2/SEV3), including tracking, communication, and driving resolution.

Routing & resiliency protocols

• OSPF, BGP, HSRP, VRRP, BFD

• Static routing (IPv4/IPv6)

Troubleshooting focus areas

• Layer 1: cabling, optics/SFPs, interface cards/modules

• Layer 2: VLAN down/misconfig, ARP issues

• Layer 3: packet loss, multicast/broadcast/unicast forwarding issues

Qualifications & skills

• Strong spoken and written English

• Strong collaboration skills for cross-team cooperation

• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent hands-on knowledge

• Basic UNIX/Linux understanding

• Training/mentoring/lecturing experience

• 3–4 years of telecommunications network experience preferred

• Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred

Work environment

• Hours: 05:00–16:00 local time (EMEA), with weekend rotation

• Location: Flex worker (typically 1–3 days/week onsite in Brno)

• Salary Range: from 94 600 - 140 000 CZK gross a month. The actual salary is based on your skills, experience and knowledge.
