Associate Director – Partner Operations

Partner Operations is where strategy meets execution in the indirect channel. This role is built for a leader who can protect the business, simplify complex operational workflows, and scale partner programs responsibly—all while earning trust with partners and internal stakeholders. You’ll own the operational backbone that enables partners (solution providers, sub-agents, distributors, VARs) to do business efficiently and compliantly. If you’re energized by high-stakes problem solving—contracts, onboarding, security, audit readiness, and sales-quality integrity—this is a role where your decisions will matter every day.

Responsibilities:

Own partner contracting and lifecycle management

  • Lead partner contract management from intake through execution, including negotiating terms directly with partner stakeholders.
  • Implement contract updates and addendums to support new programs and market expansion efforts.
  • Partner closely with Legal to ensure agreements are scalable, current, and audit-ready.

Lead compliance, sales quality, and risk remediation

  • Design and run operational controls that protect sales integrity and reduce preventable issues.
  • Execute sales-quality audits and investigations, identify root causes, and drive corrective action plans with partners.
  • Address sensitive issues involving disputes, exceptions, and escalations with a steady, solutions-forward approach.
  • Collaborate with Security and other risk teams to resolve issues and keep partner operations aligned to policy.

Modernize onboarding and access management

  • Own partner onboarding operations end-to-end: vetting, background checks, system access provisioning, and required partner setup.
  • Coordinate the setup of partner users across required enterprise tools and workflows.
  • Mediate security requirement alignment between partners and internal security stakeholders to remove friction while meeting standards.
  • Drive onboarding process improvements that reduce cycle time, increase transparency, and improve partner experience.

Operationalize key systems and workflows

  • Implement and manage core partner operations processes within enabling tools (e.g., workflow intake, exception handling, tracking, and reporting).
  • Create clean operating rhythms: intake → triage → resolution → documentation → continuous improvement.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships across Sales, Product, Finance, Legal, Security, and Operations to deliver consistent outcomes.

What makes you a great fit:

  • Experience with indirect channels (solution providers, sub-agents, distributors, VARs) and the operational realities of partner-led selling.
  • Direct experience leading partner operations, channel operations, compliance, contracting, onboarding, or risk programs in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong business judgment and comfort making decisions with incomplete information—while knowing when to escalate.
  • Skill set negotiating or administering partner agreements and resolving disputes with professionalism and clarity.
  • Proven ability to run audit-like processes: documentation discipline, control mindset, and follow-through on remediation.
  • Skilled at influencing across teams and levels—able to align executives, operators, and external partners around a clear path forward.
  • A builder’s mindset: you simplify, standardize, and automate wherever possible without compromising compliance.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with supplier security requirements, identity/access enablement, and partner risk reviews.
  • Background supporting public sector-adjacent programs or regulated environments.

This role is ideal for someone who is:

  • Decisive and calm under pressure (handles escalations without drama)
  • Process-driven but pragmatic (builds controls that work in the real world)
  • Partner-aware (understands partner business models and how operations impacts their ability to execute)
  • Relentless about integrity (protects customers, partners, and the company through strong governance)

Job Contribution:

  • Acts as a trusted expert, integrating broad business insight with awareness of emerging trends and technologies to address complex challenges and influence strategic results.
  • Oversees critical, high‑impact projects and designs and implements innovative business strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Operates with minimal oversight while engaging senior leadership regularly and influencing executive‑level decisions.
  • Provides mentorship and expert guidance to help others navigate and resolve difficult issues.
