This position is responsible for providing 24x7 network operations surveillance and fault management support for AT&T’s IP Server networks and Business Service Application Platforms. These networks provide IP-based services, such as DNS, DHCP, Radius, LDAP, and Web Applications to broadband customers in the consumer and enterprise markets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of UNIX/LINUX servers (Bare Metal and Virtual Machines), operating systems, database servers, storage arrays and networking devices to maintain 99.9%+ uptime in an active production environment. Must have the ability to quickly respond to system alarms, troubleshoot, and isolate complex, potentially service impacting conditions that require a broad and in-depth level of technical knowledge. The ability to partner with peers and technical support organizations to manage the services, develop technical solutions, and restore services are a requirement of this position. Must be able to manage multiple simultaneous troubles including paging out, setting up and managing bridges, and updating management. Needs to be a team player and be able to work independently. Since this is a 24x7 operations, candidate must be willing to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Shift work may be rotational or assigned for 3+ months at a time. Team members are in Czech Republic, India, and in the United States

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • FAULT MANAGEMENT - Technical support and troubleshoot network platform issues including alarm and KPI monitoring (proactive and reactive); investigation/diagnose network issues, triage and communicate event status and coordinate root cause analysis; mitigate/remediate complex technology fault conditions that span multiple production platforms and environments; implement restoration of service; and may involve the implementation of vendor/IT fixes or design changes.

  • Solves Tier 2 issues independently and works with additional support teams and vendors as needed. Proactively monitor and maintain system configurations to achieve designed performance and reliability levels using key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • May interact with customers virtually or in person to outline or recommend technical solutions for their business or explaining root cause of a network event.

  • AUTOMATION - Perform automation functions through scripting and programming to bring efficiency to support and monitoring functions.

  • Perform data analysis on platform and or organizational metrics using industry standard analytics and data presentation tools.

  • Required Skills• Unix skills via command line is required, no exceptions.

  • Typically, 2-5 years experience troubleshooting complex issues in an operations environment. Which may include UNIX/LINUX (Bare Metal and Virtual Machines) servers, operating systems (Oracle (Solaris), HP, LINUX), applications, and IP networking troubles.

  • Clear understanding of DNS troubleshooting and record provisioning.

  • Must have strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to own issues until problems are resolved. Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Desired Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in technical field.

  • Technical Certifications desired.

Location: Brno (Czechia), Kosice or Bratislava (Slovakia)

Shift model: 3-shifts model with flexibility

Work Model: Flexible - 1 to 3 Days per week in the office

Salary Range: Basic gross monthly salary ranges from 68,000 CZK to 130,000 CZK, with additional allowances for night shifts where applicable. The final offer will be based on your skills, experience, and knowledge.
