JOB TITLE: Principal System Engineering
JOB LOCATION: 500 North Point Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30005
DUTIES: Lead the design and architecture of supply chain planning applications leveraging Blue Yonder modules and/or o9 platform capabilities. Ensure scalable, robust, and efficient architecture
that aligns with business objectives and IT standards. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and architectural patterns to enhance planning solutions. Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business needs into functional designs. Develop detailed functional specifications and technical blueprints for new features or enhancements. Hands-on involvement in configuring, customizing, and optimizing application modules to meet demand and supply planning requirements. Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to leverage application functionality for improved planning accuracy and efficiency. Provide alternative solutions or workarounds when application limitations arise, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Serve as a trusted advisor to internal clients, articulating benefits, risks, and implementation strategies for planning applications. Integrate AI and machine learning models to enhance demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply planning. Collaborate with data science teams to develop, validate, and deploy predictive models within the planning solution. Monitor model performance and refine algorithms to continuously improve planning outcomes. Design and implement integrations between Blue Yonder/o9 applications and other enterprise systems such as Oracle SCM (Supply Chain Management), data warehouses, Ordering Systems and external vendors. Utilize APIs, middleware, and ETL tools to ensure seamless data flow supporting end-to-end supply chain processes. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain data accuracy and timeliness.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or Supply Chain Planning and Management and eight (8) years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered, or eight (8) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation implementing of the Demand and Supply Planning with Blue Yonder and/or o9 solutions; supply and demand planning software platforms such as Blue Yonder (BY), o9 Solutions, Oracle, SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), or comparable systems; implementing, configuring, and optimizing these platforms to support forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain planning processes; designing, developing, or integrating AI and machine learning models specifically targeted at forecasting and planning challenges; understanding of statistical methods, predictive analytics, and model validation techniques that improve demand accuracy and operational efficiency; utilizing SQL for querying, analyzing, and manipulating large datasets to support business insights and model inputs; using PL/SQL for examining and understanding source code, troubleshooting, and customizing database-driven application components; analyzing complex business and technical problems, propose innovative solutions, and translate requirements into functional designs; diagnosing system limitations and recommending alternative approaches to achieve business goals; working cross-functionally with business stakeholders, IT teams, and thirdparty vendors; articulating technical concepts and business benefits clearly to diverse audiences, including non-technical users; staying current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in supply chain planning and AI/ML applications.
