As part of our growth, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Hardware Verification Engineer to join our CPU Cambridge team. You’ll collaborate with colleagues around the world on next-generation CPU IP products, helping ensure they meet the highest standards of functionality, security and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, leads, and verification engineers to identify and analyze potential vulnerabilities in Arm’s CPU IP.
• Plan and implement verification activities across the product lifecycle.
• Apply advanced verification methods to uncover dataflow and integrity issues.
• Design targeted tests based on threat models, design reviews, and risk assessments.
• Develop and maintain reusable verification infrastructure at both IP and system levels.

Required Skills and Experience

Hold a university or Engineering School degree. This can be a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronic / Electrical Engineering or Physics. Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience. Other requirements:

• Strong background in hardware development and verification (System-Verilog, UVM, C/C++, Python).
• Hands-on experience with hardware verification methods.
• Strong communication, technical writing, and collaboration skills.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience

• Experience in secure development lifecycle (SDL) processes, threat modelling and vulnerability analysis.
• Understanding of dataflow analysis, tainted-data tracking, symbolic execution or side-channel mitigation techniques.
• Familiarity with security standards and frameworks, particularly ISO/SAE 21434.
