Arctic Wolf’s Integration, Detection, and Response organization (IDR) is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute towards the quality assurance processes to ensure our Integration development meets the highest standards of quality, performance, reliability, and security. This position involves development of test strategies, and hands-on quality assurance development.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to development of quality assurance lifecycle for Integration systems.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases as per requirements of various Integrations.
- Establish and coordinate testing strategies with cross-functional teams.
Development and Automation:
- Design, develop, and execute automation systems (in Python) for Integrations.
- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks.
- Ensure continuous integration flows are effective and maintained.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to integrate QA processes into the Agile development lifecycle.
- Stay updated with new testing tools and test strategies in use throughout Arctic Wolf and externally.
Basic Requirements:
- Demonstrable working knowledge of industry standard QA test frameworks, methods, and systems.
- Experience with QA methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- 3 years of experience in software QA . Experience of cybersecurity will be a plus.
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and configuration management systems (e.g., Git).
- Proficiency in any one programming languages such as Python, Java or Go.
- Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
- Excellent written communication skills with a love of authoring effective Quality template and Quality Plans.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience.
- Good and demonstrable understanding of QA methods including Automated testing, API testing, Regression testing, Performance testing, etc.
- Experience working in full fledged Quality teams which undertake multiple levels of quality assurance.
- Participate and contribute to internal publications and be responsible for maintaining them within the group.

Is a 24/7 SOC for under $100k/year even possible in 2026? We are working on this with a midmarket client and are looking at Arctic Wolf. But the $100k quote is out of budget at this time. We know that an SOC cant be internally built for that price but there has to some other options that make sense
