YOUR ROLE

As a Configuration Manager on our team, you’ll own and drive the Configuration Management (CM) process across our projects, ensuring full control, consistency, and traceability of all Configuration Items while enabling efficient development, releases, and audits. You will shape the project's CM strategy, support development teams with branching and release governance, and secure compliance with automotive quality standards

In your daily job you will:

· Develop, maintain, and implement the Configuration Management Strategy and Plan for assigned projects.

· Identify and manage all Configuration Items (CIs) relevant throughout the project lifecycle.

· Set up and support the tools and infrastructure used for configuration control (e.g., Git/Gerrit, Polarion, Jira).

· Collaborate with development teams to define branch management and release strategies. Evaluate configuration items belonging to a release and/or process for completeness and report the status during Release Baselines / Baseline Audits

· Is responsible for the consistencies of work products baselined for release

· Evaluate status of release work products as defined in Configuration Management Plan

· Document Release Baseline / Baseline Audit findings and start corrective actions (submit Issues)

· Establish and maintain baselines, ensuring consistency and performing regular baseline audits.

· Provide regular reporting of CI status to support project management and quality processes.

· Represent the project team during internal and external quality audits related to configuration management.

· Continuously improve CM processes and deliver training to project teams when required.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

· Prior experience in a similar position

· Education: Master Degree

· Experience in the CM or SW development tools (examples: Polarion, Jira, GIT/Gerrit, DOORS, Sharepoint)

· Proficient with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

· Knowledge of software engineering in accordance with quality standards (ASPICE; IATF16494; ISO26262)

· Large interpersonal skills (communication skills, work organization)

· Fluent English

· Willingness to self-improvement

· Experience in Python, VBA or other scripting language
