Position Summary:

Purchasing Specialist position within Aptiv is responsible for supporting procurement activities related to direct and indirect materials in BOM, ensuring accuracy of SAP master data, and securing material availability required for production processes. The role includes close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to resolve material‑related issues and contributes to the implementation and monitoring of cost‑saving initiatives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Active participation in the development of new projects and engineering changes, using standard platforms (DMF, GSD, other sources)
  • Leading RFQ, SB process, coordinate PR/PO, Delivery follow up, Negotiate with the supplier the delivery times according to project time plan)
  • Providing support to Material Planning Controlers and supervisors in resolving issues related to critical materials (checking parts status, organize meetings with suppliers to ensure a delivery plan, escalations to Category Buyer)
  • Ensuring conditions for ordering direct and indirect materials which are part of the BOM
  • Maintaining SAP data – coordinating vendor master data creation and update, and coordinating materials set up in the system
  • Calculating, implementing, and updating prices in the system
  • Monitoring invoice payment processes and ensuring timely execution of payments to suppliers
  • Monitoring the status and performing analysis of cost‑saving projects (MCIP)

Requirements:

  • University degree
  • Minimum 2 years of procurement experience (automotive industry experience is an advantage)
  • Fluent in English
  • Advanced Microsoft Office
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
