We are looking for a highly motivated mechanical engineer to join the Home product design group. You will be part of a mechanical product design team responsible for conceiving, designing and producing exciting new products.

Description:

While contributing to the mechanical design of Apple's products, you will work closely with many cross-functional teams, including Industrial Design, Hardware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Thermal, Safety, Packaging, Wireless, EMC, and Operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree in an Engineering discipline:

Experience in plastic and metal part design

Experience with design cycle from concept to manufacturing

High volume mass production experience

Experience with FEA for mechanical parts

Experience in the areas of: GD&T, Tolerance Analysis, Statistical Analysis, Design of Experiments

Innovative thinking, high personal motivation, deep engineering capability

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering:

Experience in product design.

Experience developing parts and assemblies in 3-D CAD

Knowledge of plastic and metal part design

Knowledge of design cycle from concept to manufacturing

Ability to travel internationally (up to 20%)

Pay & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $126,800 and $220,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
