The Manufacturing Systems and Infrastructure (MSI) team is responsible for gathering,
consolidating and tracking all manufacturing data for Apple's products and modules
worldwide. This data is captured and used throughout the company and the products'
lifecycle, from the very beginning, to validate that units being built are fully tested and of
high quality before leaving the factory, all of the way through to warranty support for
customers.
Description:
We are seeking a Senior User Experience Designer who possesses a real passion for phenomenal design, a superb aesthetic sense, and an extraordinary eye for detail. In this role, you will have a deep appreciation for user experience in data analysis and a proactive willingness to learn and adapt to emerging AI technologies. You will play a crucial role in defining and implementing AI solutions for our organization, transforming how we manage and interact with complex manufacturing data.
We need a designer with the unique ability to quickly grasp and distill highly complex matters into clean, understandable solutions. You won't just work in a vacuum; you will promote these ideas throughout the team, collaborating across functions to build amazing user experiences that make mundane data engaging and actionable through techniques like gamification.

Partner with AI experts to define and integrate emerging technologies into manufacturing data management tools.
Articulate and defend design decisions to cross-functional stakeholders, explaining the "why" behind design choices with clarity and conviction.
Deliver comprehensive design artifacts including wireframes, UX flows, interactive prototypes, and design specifications.
Promote usability testing and user research endeavors to drive overall user satisfaction and product adoption.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional experience or projects involving the integration of AI/ML features into user interfaces.
Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React/Redux.
Familiarity with data visualization best practices for large-scale industrial datasets.
Master's Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, Media Arts and Sciences.
Minimum Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in user-centered design with a focus on data-intensive or complex B2B applications.
Proven ability to act as a solo design advocate, capable of driving research and design strategy without a large design department for support.
Mastery of design and prototyping software such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Deep understanding of information architecture, design patterns, and interaction design.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable user journeys.
Demonstrated experience in applying gamification techniques to professional or data-driven environments.
High emotional intelligence and communication skills to navigate cross-functional partnerships and influence product roadmaps.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or relevant work experience.

Pay & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
