The Apple Health Special Projects team is seeking an accomplished Senior or Lead Designer to spearhead the creation of groundbreaking and visually stunning designs across our products and services.

This is a site-based role.

Description:

We are looking for a seasoned professional who cannot only demonstrate exceptional design prowess but also lead and inspire a diverse team towards excellence. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter, an exceptional communicator, and thrives on refining intricate details. As a senior member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our design direction, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and elevating the overall visual design system.","responsibilities":"Demonstrate mastery of visual and communication design principles, providing strategic direction and guidance to the team.

Lead collaborative efforts with designers, engineers, product managers, clinicians, and data scientists to deeply understand project requirements, constraints, and objectives.

Produce meticulously crafted designs that not only meet user needs but also provide surprise and delight, and align with strategic goals.

Approach your own work with a critical eye, and contribute to design critiques to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Develop and deliver comprehensive design specifications to engineering teams, ensuring seamless execution.

Uphold a high standard of execution and polish, setting a benchmark for design excellence within the team.

Expertly adapt existing design patterns across various platforms, while also innovating new solutions for emerging features and use cases.

Navigate ambiguity and adapt to evolving project requirements with ease and confidence.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Demonstrated passion for Apple, its products, and its customers.

Experience in health-related apps, programs, or data is not necessary but valuable.

Additional expertise in prototyping, animation, or illustration is a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in crafting exceptional user interface designs for iOS, desktop, and/or web platforms.

Proficiency in Sketch, Keynote, and other industry-standard design tools.

Self-motivated and capable of independently driving projects forward with minimal supervision.

Thrive in a collaborative environment, leveraging group critique and iterative design processes to refine work.

Pay & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $212,000 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
