Apple is seeking a highly technical Display Engineering Program Manager to join the Technology Development EPM team supporting New Technology Development. Our organization leads the development of innovative display panel and module designs, advanced materials, and next-generation manufacturing processes that shape the future of Apple displays and touch technologies. This role serves as a central hub between display panel engineers, module teams, and cross-functional partners across Materials, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Operations. We work in a fast-paced environment where proactive leadership, technical depth, and creative problem-solving are essential.
Description:
The Display EPM drives complex engineering programs from concept through mass production. You will define project plans, establish schedules, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure execution at both Apple and international supplier sites. Success in this role requires strong technical fundamentals spanning optics, mechanics, electronics, materials, and manufacturing, along with excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
This position requires independent decision-making, the ability to communicate complex technical topics, and a talent for resolving issues, dependencies, and conflicts quickly. You will lead engineering builds, manage development budgets, and ensure tight coordination across all partners. As part of the display development team, you will help bring new display technologies from proof-of-concept to high-volume production, collaborating with top-tier engineers and supplier partners around the world.","responsibilities":"Define project plans, schedules, and deliverables; drive execution across internal and external teams
Lead multi-functional engineering and validation activities for display panels and modules
Ensure seamless communication and coordination between Apple teams and global suppliers
Communicate program status, risks, and technical issues with clarity and precision
Identify and resolve program conflicts, inter-dependencies, and technical challenges rapidly and effectively
Lead development budgets, engineering builds, and factory engagement
Contribute to long-term display technology strategy and roadmap planning
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate level degree in engineering or physical sciences with application to materials science, process development and / or application to semiconductor and electronic devices
Strong background in engineering or physical sciences, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical issues
Self-motivated, hands-on, and comfortable working independently with minimal direction.
Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with international suppliers and high-volume manufacturing ecosystems.
Familiarity with consumer electronics development and hardware manufacturing practices.
Knowledge of display materials, optical films, panel manufacturing processes, and module assembly is preferred
Experience with manufacturing automation equipment
Experience with AI tools, modeling, and simulation work
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability and willingness to travel internationally
Minimum Qualifications:
BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
Experience in flat-panel display (LCD/OLED), TFT device/process development, thin-film manufacturing (semiconductor/solar), epitaxy or process integration

Pay & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,100 and $305,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
