About the Role
At Apple, our Data Analytics team focuses on improving the user experience by improving operating system stability, gathering feature usage telemetry, and evaluating device performance. This requires capturing data from customers who have given consent, utilizes strong privacy preserving techniques, and entails aggregating information, all to help inform direction. We develop and operate a variety of Big Data infrastructure products and applications in support of these goals.
Join Apple's Mission-Critical Analytics Team as a Site Reliability Engineer
Are you energized by solving large-scale infrastructure challenges that directly impact millions of users? We're seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our data analytics team, where your work will be essential to keeping Apple's most important systems running smoothly.
What You'll Do
As part of our team, you'll help Apple engineers answer mission-critical questions about the stability and performance of hardware, firmware, and software that power devices worldwide. You'll develop automation to ensure reliability across thousands of compute and storage instances spanning our large, heterogeneous infrastructure.
Your day-to-day will involve diving deep into complex data and application issues, conducting root cause analysis of large-scale problems, and partnering with teammates across Apple to maintain the availability and integrity of our critical analytics applications.
The Impact
You'll have the opportunity to directly contribute to the development and performance of products that define the user experience—from Apple Intelligence and Safari to the core performance of macOS and iOS. Your expertise in distributed systems and critical thinking will help ensure that Apple's analytics infrastructure scales reliably to meet the demands of our growing ecosystem.
If you thrive on solving complex technical challenges while working with cutting-edge technology that reaches users globally, we'd love to hear from you.
