About the App Store

The App Store is the world's safest and most vibrant app marketplace, serving more than 700 million people each week. Since the App Store launched in 2008, it has helped creators, dreamers, and learners of all ages and backgrounds connect with the tools and information they need to build a brighter future and a better world. It has enabled countless new companies, spawned new industries, and created millions of jobs. A significant driver of the global economy, the App Store facilitates over $1 trillion in developer billings and sales annually, rewarding developers and entrepreneurs for their hard work and creativity. And we believe we're just getting started!

About the Role

The App Store team is looking for a Business Manager to support the growth of high potential mid-sized developers on Apple platforms through new engagement models and guidance. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the ongoing success of an important segment of the Apple developer ecosystem.

As a Business Manager, you will work directly with developers to understand their businesses, identify growth areas tied to App Store features and best practices, and drive relevant business KPIs. This includes using takeaways from developer engagements to contribute to ongoing optimization and strategic priorities for the App Store team.

With this new engagement approach, Apple aims to reach more developers than ever before and ensure those developers derive meaningful, measurable benefits through a more structured, consistent working relationship with the App Store team.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with hundreds of high potential developers using scalable communication channels and tools, including periodic 1:1 conversations, to drive business growth, share best practices, advocate for App Store features, and strengthen relationships.
  • Measure ongoing engagement with developers, from initial outreach to progress on actions such as feature adoption, and the identification of success stories.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to improve processes, tools, and measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with global App Store and cross-functional teams on developer community engagement initiatives and events.
  • Support the delivery of 1:many developer educational programs, including online and in person formats.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of App Store business critical metrics and their relevance to various apps and the customer lifecycle, including top of funnel, payer conversion, retention, and re-engagement / win back.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate results clearly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and tracking performance towards specific, measurable goals.
  • Enthusiasm for smaller developers, their needs, and their unique business challenges.
  • Ability to efficiently manage time, developer engagements, and developer expectations to ensure program success given targets.
  • Can work independently as well as in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience with understanding of App Store business models and related platform features, such as games and subscriptions.
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience.

Equal Opportunity

Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity. We seek to promote equal opportunity for all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, Veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics.
