The IS&T Retail Engineering organization has the goal of providing an intuitive, seamless and inspiring customer shopping experiences through interactions with our people, products and services.

About the Role

The Retail Engineering Programs team is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Project Manager to lead programs of varying scale and complexity for Financing and Retail Systems (FRS) organization. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and project management experience to drive successful project outcomes. This role requires outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure the efficient execution of Retail projects. As an EPM, you will provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, promoting accountability and driving performance excellence. This person is expected to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders and external partners, serving as the point of contact for providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and key deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-functional development teams while collaborating with both internal and external partners to expand financing initiatives into new countries
  • Support Apple product launches and manage projects across different time zones
  • Communicate the overall program status effectively and consistently
  • Identify and resolve conflicts, risks, and inter-dependencies
  • Adapt your approach to ensure excellence despite competing priorities and pressures
  • Lead meetings with 2 to 40+ participants
  • Foster collaboration and seek diverse perspectives
  • Drive actions to achieve project goals while maintaining a flexible problem-solving mindset

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in engineering project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Payments and financing background highly preferred
  • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master)
  • Understanding of engineering principles and technology development processes to effectively lead technical aspects of projects
  • Successful track record in handling large-scale, high-profile projects and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional projects in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams across different departments and geographies
  • Proficient in conveying complex information clearly and effectively to various collaborators
  • Capability to prioritize and manage deliverables with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies
