You will be part of Apple's security engineering team in a unique organization enabling secure developer experience and AI platforms. You will be joining a team of highly-skilled and passionate security engineers working on this groundbreaking and constantly evolving space.

Description:

This role is responsible for engineering, deploying and managing Apple's internal security services that use the latest AI technologies and modern security tools and techniques to effectively identify and remediate security risks in the software development lifecycle. This role also has opportunity to assess AI-related security risks and implement detective and preventive controls to address these emerging risks.

Understanding and solving for security challenges of developers will be a key focus for this role. You will improve developer experience through innovative solutions that accelerate both detection and remediation across the SDLC. Given that security and AI domain is constantly evolving, you will research, learn and apply new technologies and techniques to improve effectiveness of our security services.

You will have a consistent track record of technical leadership, innovation, responsibility, and creative thinking. You will work closely with other senior engineers on the team and independently lead a project or own significant components of a large project. You will champion and build sustainable relationships with various engineering teams across Apple and collaborate with them on projects and implement highly integrated solutions that address common needs across organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with engineering LLM-powered solutions, MCP servers, and Agents

Knowledge of emerging security risks with AI technologies and mitigating controls

Ability to work independently and track record of leadership, innovation, responsibility, and creative thinking

Experience developing detailed solution design and leading development efforts with junior engineers and contractors

Proficient in writing detailed solution design specifications, sequence diagrams, test plans, workflows, etc.

Experience using and customizing open source projects

Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD frameworks

Excellent verbal communications skills and ability to work effectively with multi-functional technical and business teams

Minimum Qualifications:

5 years of industry experience in software engineering and/or security engineering

Proficient in engineering of highly scalable microservices using Python or Java, RESTful APIs, and NoSQL databases deployed on public cloud using Docker and Kubernetes

Expertise in assessing security risks in modern application tech stacks and defining and implementing detective and preventive security controls

Bachelors/ Masters in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related engineering field
