Description:

As a Software Engineer in WTE, you'll design and build next-generation wireless and connectivity solutions that bring Apple products to life. You'll work where hardware meets software-writing drivers, developing embedded firmware, and building full-stack systems that deliver high performance with low power. Debug and resolve critical issues across the technology stack

Collaborate closely with hardware, OS, and technology teams

Preferred Qualifications:

You're experienced with embedded firmware development

You have knowledge of communication buses (UART, USB, SPI, PCIe)

You have knowledge of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or other wireless protocols

You demonstrate familiarity with low-power optimization in embedded systems

You're experienced with real-time operating systems and low-level programming

You have proven analytical skills across hardware/software boundaries

You have excellent communication and collaboration skills

You have a passion for innovative problem-solving and finding elegant solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience

You have 3+ years of experience writing drivers for large operating systems

You demonstrate proficiency in C and C++

You have a solid understanding of system programming (memory, process management)

You have strong debugging and problem-solving skills in complex environments

Pay & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
