The Portable System Integration Manager is a leadership role responsible for the seamless integration of electrical systems into complex, multi-disciplinary products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, coupled with a strategic mindset to drive innovation and efficiency in system integration processes. This manager will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical designs meet stringent performance, safety, and regulatory requirements, while also optimizing for cost-effectiveness and manufacturability. The Portable System Integration Manager will be a key liaison between electrical engineering and cross functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment on project goals.

This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team of talented electrical engineers to achieve excellence in system integration. Description

As the Portable System Integration Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead and manage a team of electrical engineers focused on integrating electrical components and systems into our products. This encompasses overseeing the entire integration lifecycle, from initial design, prototyping, component selection, testing, validation, failure analysis, and final production release. A key aspect of this role involves defining and implementing electrical architectures that optimize performance, reliability, and safety, while adhering to all relevant industry standards and regulations. This position requires close collaboration with other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on project goals.

You will be expected to provide technical guidance and mentorship to your team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Defining electrical architectures for integrated systems, considering power distribution, signal integrity, grounding, and EMC/EMI. Evaluating and recommending electrical components, technologies, and vendors.

Overseeing the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components for integration.

Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Electrical Engineers specializing in system integration. Assigning tasks, providing technical guidance, and conducting performance reviews.

Identifying training needs and providing opportunities for professional development.

Providing technical guidance on electrical design best practices, including component selection, circuit analysis, and simulation.

Monitoring project progress, tracking milestones, and providing status updates to stake-holders.

Developing and oversee electrical testing and validation plans for integrated systems.

Ensuring that systems meet performance specifications and regulatory requirements.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Developing a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of lead or management experience

Desire to be a visible project leader and decision maker

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Five years of experience in electrical engineering.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $198,300 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
