About the Role

In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional partners - including Engineering, Finance, and Recruiting- to streamline processes, optimize resources, and deliver actionable insights that fuel smarter decisions across Apple.

The Business Operations Analyst supports the Biz Ops team in driving and implementing operational processes for the AiDP organization. This includes critical initiatives related to budgets, headcount management, reporting, and process optimization. The role partners closely with other IS&T teams, Finance, and Leadership to ensure priorities are clear, resources are aligned, and decisions are data-driven.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Innovate and refine crucial processes and improve workflows to increase efficiency. Develop scalable operational frameworks to accommodate rapid growth and organizational shifts.
  • Budget, Resource & Capacity Management: Work closely with Finance and Recruiting to strategize headcount, budgeting, and capacity planning. Monitor utilization to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Data & Insights: Oversee reporting and analytics initiatives that facilitate decision making and align with the strategic goals of the org. Provide budget and resource updates to engineering leaders.
  • Cross-Functional Program Management: Support complex, multi-team projects across the org and with outside partners. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure progress and escalate risks.
  • Strategic Projects: Partner with leadership and teams on special projects (e.g., cost optimization, hiring plans, vendor evaluations). Provide decision support with data, research, and structured analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Business, Economics, Finance or equivalent experience.
  • 5-6 years of experience in business operations, consulting, finance, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau).
  • Experience working cross-functionally and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams.
  • Familiarity with OKRs, KPIs, and operational dashboards that measure efficiency, hiring velocity, utilization, and budget adherence.
  • Ability to work with large or complex datasets and translating them into clear insights for leadership decisions.
  • Proven track record of building scalable processes that adapt to organizational change and growth.
  • Skilled at building trusted partnerships across Finance, Recruiting, and Engineering.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate complex topics clearly to senior leaders.
  • Experience contributing to strategic planning or annual business plan.
