Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary spatial computer that seamlessly blends digital content with your physical space. It will allow us to do the things we love in ways never before possible - all while staying connected to the people around us.
Our team of computer vision and machine learning (CVML) researchers and engineers discover and build solutions to previously unsolved challenges. We are looking for a driven and dedicated software engineer, optimally with experience in computer vision and deep learning. About the Role
You'll be working in a team of CVML researchers and engineers to implement world class algorithms and software. Your goal is to raise the quality and productivity of the team as a whole by building development tools that allow everyone to work faster.
Responsibilities
- Driving the software architecture of both, internal tools and production code
- Implementing and optimizing algorithms to run efficiently on mobile devices
- Building development and visualization tools to improve team productivity
- Building and optimizing efficient machine learning pipelines for fast training and inferencing
- Cooperating with your team members to prepare presentations, papers, and talks to explain your inventions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and 5+ years of software engineering or machine learning experience
- Strong C++ experience, including modern C++
- Strong experience in Python, including popular science libraries like Numpy, Pandas, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- M.Sc./Ph.D in machine learning, computer vision, or robotics
- Track record of successfully building and shipping products or open source projects
- Drive for high quality and elegant code
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills
- Creativity and curiosity for solving highly complex problems
- visionOS / iOS development experience
- Experience in deep learning frameworks like Py Torch or Tensor Flow
- Experience in Swift or Objective-C
- Experience in 3D graphics or rendering
