We are the Apple Service Engineering (ASE) Security team. We are the team that secures the systems and infrastructure that fuel Apple's services (such as i Cloud, Apple Music, Apple Fitness, and Apple TV). We are the foundation on which Apple's software developers build the products that our customers love. Our team is expanding and we are looking for a Staff Software Security Engineer to create next-generation security tools and services that safeguard Apple's ecosystem.

Description:

This is a highly collaborative role where you will be working with teams across the Security and Engineering organizations to provide meaningful solutions to everyday problems. You'll spend 50% of your time hands-on coding while also architecting complex systems, mentoring engineers, and driving technical initiatives across the organization.","responsibilities":"Architect and build distributed systems that scale to support Apple's development ecosystem

Experience with AI powered coding tools and LLM assisted development workflows

Minimum Qualifications:

10+ years of work experience in software or software security engineering

Experience architecting complex, distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and leading technical initiatives

Experience with third party cloud platforms and operating services in a hybrid cloud environment

Highly proficient in Java or Go:

Pay & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
