The Voice Production and Modeling team is looking for a manager to lead our Voice Character Development team. Join us and lead the revolution in AI voice creation where we marry craftsmanship, engineering and machine learning to create unique, distinctive voice characters that delight our customers. You'll work with a diverse team of interaction designers and machine learning engineers to develop the underlying technologies and build out processes that enable character development at scale, including auto and human quality validation, audio generation and modeling experiments. The ideal candidate will combine an intuitive understanding of cutting-edge machine learning capabilities with an eye for when a human touch is required to create something truly exceptional. Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Software Engineering or equivalent

Experience working with voice talent recordings and/or other types of speech data

Experience building text-to-speech models

Fluent in another language or dialect

Minimum Qualifications:

2+ years experience leading a software or machine-learning team in the speech technology space

7+ years in a hands-on machine learning role with demonstrable product impact

Experience taking responsibility and ownership of features and the product roadmap

Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds (engineers, designers, researchers, etc.)

Pay & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $198,300 and $298,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
