The Visual Systems Specialist is a hands-on technical role supporting the delivery of premium live and broadcast experiences for Apple at Worldwide Events venues and remote locations. This role is responsible for the reliable operation, visual integrity, and aesthetic excellence of large and small format LED display systems across rehearsals, live events, and broadcast productions.

The Visual Systems Specialist works closely with video engineering, systems operations, transmission, and the broader Worldwide Events team, as well as cross functional internal partners and external vendors. Success in this role requires a high level of technical rigor, attention to detail, and calm execution in executive-facing environments with zero margin for error.
","responsibilities":"Support the build, configuration, testing, and commissioning of LED display systems for Worldwide Events at SJT, APO, and off-campus venues.
Validate tile integrity, calibration, mapping, and color consistency to meet Apple's visual and camera-ready standards.
Verify signal flow, redundancy, and overall system health prior to rehearsals, executive QCs, and live broadcasts.
Partner with Video Engineering, Broadcast, and Production teams to ensure technical execution aligns with creative and experiential intent.
Perform routine and corrective maintenance to ensure long-term system reliability.
Operate LED processors and control systems during rehearsals, live events, and broadcast productions.
Execute show cues and transitions with precision and discretion, following direction from the Show Caller or Stage Manager.
Monitor LED performance in real time, ensuring image stability, color accuracy, and brightness consistency across environments.
Quickly identify and resolve issues while maintaining a seamless, uninterrupted experience for presenters, executives, and audiences.
Support system shutdown, strike, and post event equipment maintenance.
Document technical issues, damaged tiles, and system anomalies to support long-term system health and planning.
Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, documentation, and operational best practices.
Collaborate with the team to keep LED platforms current and help evaluate next-generation display technologies for Worldwide Events.
This role requires up to 30% travel, including both domestic and international travel, based on project needs.
Work may be required during evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays in support of live events and broadcasts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Broadcast LED experience, including camera-specific considerations such as refresh rate, shutter sync, and moiré mitigation.
Familiarity with media servers and playback systems (Disguise, Pixera, Watchout, Resolume).
Experience supporting executive presentations, product launches, studio-style broadcasts, or film sets.
Knowledge of safety standards and best practices for LED installations, including ground-supported and rigged systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ Years of experience operating LED display systems in corporate, live event, and broadcast environments.
Working knowledge of professional LED processing platforms (e.g., Brompton, Megapixel, Novastar, ROE, Barco).
Strong understanding of video signal flow, codecs, aspect ratios resolution management, genlock, and frame synchronization.
Ability to follow technical documentation and maintain clean, repeatable workflows.
Experience supporting executive-facing events with high expectations for precision, polish, and reliability.

Pay & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $117,400 and $176,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
