About the Role
The App Store is the world's safest and most vibrant app marketplace, serving more than 700 million visitors each week. Since the App Store launched in 2008, it has helped creators, dreamers, and learners of all ages and backgrounds connect with the tools and technology they need to build a brighter future and a better world. It has enabled countless new companies, spawned new industries, and created millions of jobs. A significant driver of the global economy, the App Store facilitates over $1 trillion in developer billings and sales annually, rewarding developers and entrepreneurs for their hard work and creativity. And we believe we're just getting started!
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to continue building capabilities for In-App Purchases (IAP) to support developer monetization and growth. The ideal candidate will combine deep product management expertise with a nuanced understanding of digital commerce, developer needs, two-sided marketplaces, and emerging monetization trends.
Description
You will own and drive the comprehensive roadmap for expanding IAP's SKU types, business models, and packaging options to meet developer and market needs. This role will lead cross-functional commerce initiatives from the initial presentation to leadership to launch. By conducting ongoing analysis of market trends, competitive platforms, and emerging monetization models, this product manager will expand App Store IAP monetization, ensuring that developers have the right business models and offerings to grow their business within the Apple ecosystem.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on commerce, mobile, or platform products focused on B2B2C
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority
- Strategic thinking balanced with attention to operational details and execution excellence
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of digital commerce trends, including subscription models, virtual currencies, and emerging payment methods
- Proven track record of launching complex, technical products that balance multiple stakeholder needs
- Has delivered features to market which have seen broad adoption
- Strong understanding of the developer ecosystem and how apps are monetized
- Ability to champion a product vision that balances user experience with business goals
- Understands how to balance competing priorities while still advancing their product
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
