Our team is responsible for the Research, Development and Deployment of ML/NLP technologies that power Apple Intelligence on device and on private compute cloud. Our team was also responsible for building Generative AI experiences for Writing Tools, Smart Replies, Transformer Models for Keyboard across all Apple Platforms.

Our team has a great mix of talent across NLP, Software Engineering and Machine Learning. Description:

As a member of this premier team, you will work on the intersection of NLP, Machine Learning and Software Engineering.

The position requires proven hands-on NLP experience in conjunction with Software Engineering. The role spans the entire gamut of NLP: text processing, empirical experimentation for building state-of-the-art NLP models, productizing Generative AI features for Apple. You will collaborate closely with several engineering teams at Apple that work on machine learning and NLP.

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on experience in using open-source ML toolkits, e.g., Py Torch

Hands-on experience with building NLP/Generative AI applications

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience writing production software (Swift, C/C++, Obj-C, Python)

Good machine learning (ML) fundamentals

B.S, M.S. or Ph

D in Computer Science or a related field:

Pay & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
