Apple is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join the Apple Pay Access team. This critical role will focus on expanding the reach and functionality of Apple Pay within the access control industry and related ecosystems. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with key players in the access control space, driving adoption of Apple Pay as a seamless and secure access solution. This role demands a strategic problem solver with a proven track record of building successful partnerships, a deep understanding of the access control market, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships with access control manufacturers, software providers, integrators, and other key players in the access control ecosystem to integrate and promote Apple Pay Access solutions.

Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct detailed market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, unmet needs, and new business opportunities for Apple Pay within the access control industry.

Solution Development and Innovation: Collaborate with internal product, engineering, and marketing teams to develop and refine Apple Pay Access solutions that meet the specific needs of the access control market and drive innovation in the space.

Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new Apple Pay Access solutions, working closely with partners to ensure successful launch and adoption.

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key partners, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for Apple Pay Access.

Performance Tracking and Reporting: Measure key performance indicators related to partnership performance, adoption rates, and user growth. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product management, engineering, marketing, legal, and business operations, to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development initiatives.

Pipeline Management: Implement and use tools to provide pipeline access to demonstrate progress and facilitate decision making at all levels of the organization.

Industry Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the access control industry landscape, including key players, technologies, and trends.

Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of business development experience in driving new features within a mobile-first organization.
Deep understanding of the access control industry, including key technologies (e.g., RFID, Bluetooth, NFC), market dynamics, and major players.
Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork/collaboration, and organizational skills.
Flexibility to handle directional changes with the ability to balance moving priorities and a portfolio of initiatives to ensure project success and drive impact.
Ability to contribute consistently and positively in a high-paced, fast-changing, and sometimes unpredictable work environment.
Analytical problem solver with a can-do attitude and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in running sophisticated partner relationships with enterprise-level organizations.
Experience assessing business and client/partner needs, prioritizing accordingly, and advancing appropriately; success innovating, identifying, and delivering new business, product, and market opportunities with clients.
Proficiency with Apple products and applications, specifically strong skills with Keynote.

Pay & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $146,800 and $274,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
