Our team is seeking a Software Development Engineer with strong, hands-on engineering fundamentals to help build the next generation of quality and reliability tooling for Apple Pay. We operate in an agile environment and are building test infrastructure to enable continuous delivery, where every code change is thoroughly tested and ready for deployment. As Apple Pay experiences exponential growth, we need to scale our infrastructure for fast, effective integrations. Come join us and help drive this initiative.

In this role, you will design and implement scalable engineering solutions in close partnership with developers, quality engineers, and program managers. You will explore new technologies, solve complex technical problems, and contribute across all phases of the development lifecycle. You'll be involved in all phases of the application, directly impacting the experience of millions of customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Foundational knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning technologies with applications in Quality Engineering.

Experience with SQL/NoSQL data-stores, Search, Caching and Messaging platforms.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Minimum Qualifications:

Proficiency in object-oriented programming and design, with experience in a languages like Java or Kotlin.

Experience building or consuming web services and working with both gRPC and REST based services.

Experience designing, building, or extending test automation frameworks (e.g., Kotest, TestNG).

Solid understanding of web technologies, including front-end (e.g., REACT) and back-end systems.

Foundational understanding of application security concepts (e.g., authentication, authorization, cryptography).

A passion for evangelizing software lifecycle best practices and influencing architecture and design decisions.

Ability to troubleshoot issues across the stack, including OS, database, network, and application servers.

Proficiency with Linux environments and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript).

Proficiency with using AI tools for developer productivity.
