Software Documentation
Join Apple Services Engineering's Documentation team, where your expertise shapes how thousands of engineers create documentation. You'll define documentation standards, create exemplary content, and embed your knowledge into AI-powered tools that multiply your impact across the organization.
Description:
As a Senior Technical Writer, you'll create high-quality documentation while shaping the systems that help others do the same. Your expertise becomes the foundation for AI tools that guide engineers to produce great docs on their own.
What You'll Do:

Create task-oriented technical documentation for engineering audiences
-
Document systems architectures and complex software workflows

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with docs-as-code workflows (Git, Markdown, static site generators)
Experience with AI/LLM tools and prompt engineering
Experience with cloud platforms (GCS, AWS, Azure)
Background in API documentation (OpenAPI, GraphQL)
Ability to articulate documentation best practices as systematic, repeatable guidance
We measure success by organizational documentation quality and application of global standards
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of technical writing experience documenting complex software systems
Ability to quickly understand and document complex software and related tools
Strong collaboration skills with subject matter experts
Experience creating well-structured specifications that incorporate feedback
Ability to manage documentation projects with shifting requirements
