As a leader, you will inspire and guide a diverse group of engineers, in close collaborate with artists, and designers, to create interactive entertainment applications that blend traditional algorithmic models, generative AI, and spatial computing. Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team of engineers in researching, developing, and shipping innovative application paradigms across Apple platforms
- Collaborate with Design, Art, Engineering, and Research teams to define and deliver high-impact applications that redefine user experiences
- Champion the integration of traditional algorithmic models and generative AI models into Apple's application stacks and frameworks
- Foster an environment of rapid experimentation and prototyping, ensuring high code quality and meticulous attention to detail
- Provide strategic direction and mentorship to team members, promoting professional growth and fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity
- Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and success metrics, ensuring alignment with Apple's goals and values
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience as an engineering manager, leading teams in developing and shipping native system and application frameworks on Apple platforms (iOS, tvOS, VisionOS)
- Demonstrated leadership in integrating traditional algorithmic models and generative AI into complex software solutions
- Deep understanding of AR/VR or Gaming software design principles and architecture patterns
- Strong command of object-oriented programming (Swift / Objective-C / C / C++ preferred), with the ability to guide technical decision-making
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of fostering effective collaboration within and across teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as CoreML or MLX, or other open-source alternatives
- Track record of shipping 3D experiences developed using modern game engines
- Familiarity with cloud-based service integrations and API development
- Knowledge of computer vision or graphics applications in AR/VR environments and the ability to inspire innovation in this space
- Enthusiasm for leading diverse teams in a fast-paced, creative, and challenging environment
