Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Air Dominance and Strike (AD&S) Electrical Engineering Team is responsible for developing high-reliability avionics, embedded processing, and power systems for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms. Working across hardware, software, and mission autonomy, the team delivers flight-critical electronics, PCB assemblies, and FPGA-based processing architectures that enable Anduril's next-generation autonomous air platforms to operate in complex and contested environments. AD&S Electrical Engineers drive end-to-end development, from system architecture and circuit design to verification, integration, and flight test, ensuring scalable, mission-ready solutions that meet the performance, reliability, and survivability demands of the U.S. Military and modern air warfare.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an Electrical System Test & Integration Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will work closely with avionics, system, and software engineers to create test systems for development, qualification, verification, and validation purposes. If you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware, we are looking for you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Execute all phases of testing throughout the product lifecycle, including Development Verification Testing (DVT), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), Qualification Testing (QUAL), Integration Testing, and System-Level Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.

  • Take ownership of test infrastructure by configuring, integrating, upgrading, and sustaining it. This includes hardware, software, harnesses, and instrumentation.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure traceability, including asset tracking, calibration records, test configurations, procedures, test results, and version control of hardware, software, and firmware.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues during integration with cross-functional teams, restore test infrastructure to its baseline state, before reattempting and document actions taken accurately.

  • Train and mentor team members on test infrastructure management, troubleshooting, and best practices, fostering knowledge sharing and consistency across the team.

  • Provide constructive feedback to test equipment designers to improve the functionality, reliability, and usability of test equipment for future testing needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical system testing, troubleshooting, or test infrastructure management, ideally in the defense or aerospace industry.

  • Proficiency in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and data acquisition systems.

  • Strong understanding of test methodologies, configuration management, and traceability practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

  • Ability to train and mentor team members and work effectively in cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), including testing and validation of new designs and providing feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Familiarity with defense industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810) and security clearance eligibility.

  • Experienced with aircraft avionics module vendors and avionics component suppliers in UAS programs.
