ABOUT AMGEN INDIA:

Amgen India is located in HITEC City, a suburb of Hyderabad, occupying six floors of the RMZ Spire Tower 110. The city of Hyderabad, located in the state of Telangana, well known for its world-class talent across medicine, life sciences and data sciences and the rapidly advancing field of artificial intelligence (AI). The site can accommodate up to 3,000 people and is operational since Q4 2024. Amgen India will initially build and accelerate new technology solutions and digital capabilities at scale that will enhance efficiency across the enterprise The site will offer roles that strengthen key areas of Amgen’s business, including AI, data science, life science and other additional global capabilities over time.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Role Description:

This position is directly focused on Amgen’s design and optimization of Salesforce applications, with a strong emphasis on Conga CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) and Conga CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solutions. As a Specialist IS Architect, this role provides critical technical leadership in support of Amgen’s enterprise contract management capabilities.

The Specialist IS Architect will co-develop the strategy and framework for Amgen’s contract management solutions and serve as a liaison between the Salesforce platform team and the Contract Management Product Team to ensure Conga CLM and Conga CPQ are effectively designed, adopted, and optimized to meet business needs.

As part of the Contract Management Product Team, the Specialist IS Architect will establish standards, patterns, and reusable frameworks to drive consistency and scalability across the contract management domain. They will provide deep technical expertise to business analysts, Salesforce developers, and product owners, ensuring alignment with best practices and platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape the program vision for Salesforce contract management solutions, articulating strategies on enabling technologies and platform adoption.

• Provide architectural guidance on application design, enterprise integration, and Salesforce extensibility, with a focus on contract lifecycle and quote-to-cash processes.

• Establish and promote design and technical standards that integrate Salesforce, Conga CLM, and Conga CPQ into Amgen’s broader enterprise ecosystem.

• Partner with the Contract Management Product Team to troubleshoot and resolve implementation challenges in Salesforce, CLM, and CPQ solutions, driving toward scalable, compliant outcomes.

• Lead evaluation of Salesforce and Conga releases and product roadmaps, assessing impacts on contract management and related solutions.

• Proactively identify risks in solution delivery, ensuring mitigation strategies are developed and executed.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and third-party partners to negotiate solutions to complex business and technical challenges.

• Build strong relationships with product owners, analysts, and developers to expand adoption and maximize the value of contract management solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise as a Salesforce/Conga Architect, with hands-on experience designing and implementing Conga CLM and Conga CPQ at enterprise scale.

• Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including data modeling, security, integration, and extensibility.

• Demonstrated success in driving contract lifecycle management and quote-to-cash transformation solutions.

• Ability to define and enforce architectural best practices in complex enterprise environments.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters'/Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business Analytics, Information Systems or a relevant field of study and 8 years of Salesforce/Conga CPQ and CLM implementation.

Functional Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong experience working in Agile frameworks (Scrum/SAFe) using Jira and Confluence.

• Proven ability to define solution architecture, technical designs, and standards for Salesforce and Conga platforms.

• Deep understanding of Salesforce capabilities (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning) and how they integrate into enterprise solutions.

• Hands-on expertise or strong familiarity with Conga CLM and Conga CPQ, including design and optimization of quote-to-cash and contract lifecycle processes.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including business leaders and product teams.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience supporting system integration and data flow across Salesforce and Conga platforms, including middleware and API-driven designs.

• Demonstrated understanding of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) processes, including workflow design, stakeholder onboarding, and compliance alignment.

• Ability to contribute to and review functional and technical design artifacts (process maps, configuration standards, integration specifications).

• Willingness to support post-implementation activities, including troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, and adoption enablement.

Professional Certifications:

• Conga CLM and/or Conga CPQ certifications.

• Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, or Architect-level credentials).

• SAFe certifications (SAFe for Teams, Leading SAFe).
