How will you make an impact in this role?
The Senior Manager, 1LOD Financial Crimes Risk Management Governance Enablement is responsible for the day-to-day execution and integrity of first-line financial crimes governance forums, including councils, forums and working groups. This role ensures governance operates as a decision-making and escalation mechanism and that outcomes are clearly owned and tracked. This role acts as the operational backbone of 1LOD FCRM governance, maintaining discipline, transparency, and follow-through across enterprise and business-level forums.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute and manage 1LOD FCRM governance forums, including councils, steering committees, and working groups.
Develop and maintain governance charters, annual calendars, agendas, decision logs, and action tracking.
Ensure governance forums are decision-oriented, with clear articulation of risks, options, decisions, and accountability.
Operationalize escalation pathways for financial crimes risks from working-level forums to senior governance.
Ensure risks are escalated with sufficient context, impact assessment, and recommended actions.
Track follow-through on governance decisions and escalate stalled or at-risk actions.
Enforce governance standards and artifacts across all 1LOD FCRM forums.
Identify gaps in governance effectiveness and recommend structural or process improvements.
Maintain governance documentation in a regulator-ready state.
Partner with Business Units, COEs, and 2LOD to ensure appropriate participation and challenge in governance forums.
Support the Director in preparing senior leaders for governance discussions and escalations.
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in governance, risk management, or financial crimes operations.
Demonstrated experience running senior-level governance forums.
Strong organizational discipline and attention to detail.
Ability to drive accountability across senior stakeholders.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex control and risk concepts into clear narratives.
Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to operate effectively in ambiguity.
Bachelor Degree
Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
