How will you make an impact in this role?
The Analyst - Marketing, Aeroplan Acquisition will be responsible for managing new Cardmember acquisition for the American Express Aeroplan co-brand portfolio. As a key strategic partnership, the Aeroplan portfolio plays a critical role in Amex Canada’s product line strategy. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future success of Amex Aeroplan co-brand acquisition at a pivotal moment of growth. With a strong focus on driving profitable card acquisition, it’s an exciting time to join the Aeroplan Acquisition team.
Working closely with both external partners and internal stakeholders, the successful candidate will leverage strong relationship-management and analytical skills, along with marketing and loyalty expertise, to drive and deliver sustained card acquisition growth.
Responsibilities will include:
Portfolio Acquisition Management
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Amex Aeroplan co-brand cards (Consumer & SBS).
- Monitor, analyze and clearly communicate portfolio acquisition performance across key marketing channels.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop the annual marketing strategy and acquisition plan.
- Monitor internal and external trends to help inform acquisition strategies.
- Lead the execution of key strategic initiatives and campaigns across all acquisition channels to support business objectives.
- Manage the marketing budget and allocation of spend across channels/tactics.
- Understand the current regulatory environment, with a focus on effective and responsible customer engagement and acquisition tactics.
Partner/Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Air Canada to align and deliver on key priorities and objectives,
- Influence and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to gain buy-in on key projects and campaigns.
- Prepare and present business updates and performance reviews with both internal and Partner teams.
Campaign/Channel Management
- Manage end-to-end delivery of marketing campaigns, from concept to execution.
- Collaborate with creative agencies, internal stakeholders and the partner to develop and execute winning marketing strategies.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to develop and recommend best practices to improve campaign performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- University degree in Marketing / Business / Commerce, or equivalent combination of education and business experience.
- Minimum 2-year experience in an equivalent marketing position.
- Experience in digital marketing and/or partner management considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to derive insights from complex data.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to peers and senior leadership.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality.
Hiring Range: $68,000 to $102,000 annually + bonus + benefits
