We are seeking a superstar product manager to join us as Senior Manager, Digital Product Management - Token Services. This person will be responsible for evolving our token product suite by building our next generation of token products and underlying capabilities that increase checkout conversion rates, increase customer spending and engagement, while enhancing the payments experience for our issuing, merchant and acquiring partners.
How will you make an impact with this role?
This individual will serve as a product champion, responsible for evaluating and identifying product(s) and/or features to be delivered to our customers. They will work with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to manage the end-to-end product lifecycle of our Token services, including defining product strategy, enhancing features to meet partner needs, driving technical implementation and go-to-market execution, progressing emerging token use cases, and influencing payments industry bodies on defining standards.
Design new products, features, and experiences for target customer personas leveraging external and internal data and insights
Define business requirements and collaborate with partner delivery teams to refine product features. Partner with architects and engineers to identify technical solutions, assess tradeoffs, and deliver product features/platform capabilities.
Collaborate with internal teams to shepherd product enhancements through new product development processes and advocate to create the best customer and business outcomes.
Define and track product metrics and KPIs and collect customer feedback to continuously improve the product and refine feature backlog.
Collaborate with stakeholder teams to deliver go-to-market strategy and coordinate execution across marketing, sales, partner enablement, and servicing.
Maintain pulse on external trends and marketplace dynamics impacting the payments and banking industry, to inform continuous product evolution. Represent network interests in leading external industry forums.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in product management or product development, identifying customer needs, driving seamless delivery and go-to-market enablement, and managing product economics.
- Strategic thought leadership: Strategic and innovative mindset, with the ability to synthesize and translate market and industry trends into opportunities for AXP to drive innovative solutions and build consensus for key initiatives.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving ability: Self-starter who can translate ideas into actionable insights and collaborate to solution customer problems.
- Data Insights: High level of comfort with data and analytics, with experience using data to drive decision making and product improvement.
- Customer-focus: Ability to identify customer personas and develop features that solve distinct customer needs and deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
- Intellectual Curiosity: A consultant mentality with the ability to distill ideas, connect the dots from across multiple business topics, organize the information and tell a story.
- Relationship Management: Strong external and internal partnership skills; proven track record to partner with senior leaders a plus.
- Communications: Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including concise verbal and written executive-level communications. Strong ability to stay connected to remote partners and stakeholders.
- Highly Collaborative: Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver value beyond traditional means.
Passion for the payments space: Ability to succinctly describe the latest trends and provide thought leadership on their relevance to American Express
- Great Attitude: High energy and an optimistic attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience managing payments products
Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
